DRIVER EDUCATION
MVA REQUIRED BASIC DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM SUMMARY
30 hours of in-class sessions as required by the MVA. Parents are encouraged to attend the first of class which usually counts as the orientation. Classroom session are very interactive and student participation is highly encouraged. Behind-The-Wheels (in-car) sessions are only scheduled after completion of the classroom sesssion and passing the final exam.
6 hours of in-car lessons usually scheduled at 2 hours per session. These in-car sessions are done on a one-one-one basis with a certified instructor. Our instructors have the most up to date knowledge on the skills test needed to obtain a Provisional Drivers' License at the MVA (Parallel Parking and Two Point Turn around). In conformance with the driving triangle which involve the student, driving school, and parents or mentors our instructors provide daily progress report to mentors and parents. These progress reports when shared with mentors will be valuable in the development of the new driver. Mentors are also encouraged to ask about student's progress report as these may assist is getting the new driver the additional help needed.
